It is the fourth 3D platformer entry in the Mario series it is also the first, and thus far, the only 3D platformer in the Mario franchise to be released on the same console as its predecessor. It is a sequel to the 2007 game Super Mario Galaxy. Sure Mario is always looking to save the Princess, but he could also save Nintendo itself.Super Mario Galaxy 2 ( JP Japanese: スーパーマリオギャラクシー2), also known as Super Mario Wii 2 in South Korea, is a Wii game developed by Nintendo. It is one of the best games I’ve played in quite a while (on any system) and helps a system struggling to find its direction after its novelty wore off. If you own a Wii and don’t own Super Mario Galaxy 2…get it now. It is also quite difficult so good luck in collecting all the possible stars.
With all the costumes and different goals, Super Mario Galaxy 2 is very replayable. There are tons of different levels in Super Mario Galaxy 2 and like first incorporated in Super Mario 64, each level has multiple endings for different stars.
It is kind of a sad state when game designers have to hold the player’s hand when they can’t succeed, but I also guess it is the same as going to Youtube and watching a walkthrough…so it is smart of Nintendo to just help players skip that step entirely. After a number of deaths (yes, it will happen), a Cosmic Guide will appear that can be used to get through the level with a penalty. Super Mario Galaxy 2 is also equipped with the “no-fail” mode that first appeared in New Super Mario Bros.
